Episode 116: Drew Peterson // Part 1
Drew Peterson is a former Illinois police officer who gained national attention due to his involvement in two high-profile cases. He was convicted in 2012 for the 2004 murder of his third wife, Kathleen Savio, whose death was initially ruled an accidental drowning but later reclassified as a homicide after her body was exhumed.
Peterson also remains a suspect in the 2007 disappearance of his fourth wife, Stacy Peterson, who has never been found. Stacy’s disappearance raised suspicions about Peterson's involvement, prompting a deeper investigation into Savio's death. Peterson’s case drew significant media coverage, highlighting issues like domestic violence and the misuse of police authority. In 2016, he was further convicted for attempting to orchestrate a murder-for-hire plot against the prosecutor in his murder trial. Peterson is currently serving a lengthy prison sentence.
