Episode 112: Samuel Little // Part 1
Samuel Little was an American serial killer whose crimes spanned several decades. Born in 1940, he was first arrested in 1966, but it wasn't until later that his true nature as a serial killer became evident. Little's early criminal history involved various assaults and violent crimes, but he was not convicted of murder until the 1980s. He was linked to the deaths of three women in Los Angeles, for which he was convicted in 2014, though it was later revealed that he was responsible for many more killings.
Up until his capture in 2012, Little had evaded detection by law enforcement, partly because he preyed on vulnerable women, often sex workers or addicts, who went unnoticed in police records. He used his charm and manipulative skills to lure victims, strangling them and leaving little evidence behind. Despite being arrested numerous times for minor offenses, Little's status as a serial killer was not confirmed until he was arrested in 2012 for a drug-related charge in Kentucky. While in custody, DNA evidence linked him to the 1987 murder of a woman in Los Angeles, and further investigations uncovered his involvement in at least 8 other murders.
